We are running our Save a Baby's Life course again on Wednesday 19th October 6-8pm in Rooms 004-006.
This involves learning paediatric life support. We cover situations such as paediatric and neonatal arrests, choking and drowning using the paediatric models.

The National Medical Student Paediatric Conference is once again being hosted by Brighton Medical School. It is entitled: Looking Back, Facing Forward and the conference this year will cover the past, present and future of Paediatrics with talks on Autism, the role of Social Media in Child Health and Personalised Medicine.

*The academic coordinator is a new role for 2016. We are looking for someone who would like to take on the academic side of Paedsoc, for example arranging the careers events, elective talks and most importantly exploring research opportunities.
A few of the roles can be shared between people if there are a lot of people interested!

This year Paeds Soc are supporting Operation Christmas Child, a scheme run by Samaritan's Purse to deliver gift-filled shoeboxes to children in developing countries this Christmas. We would love for you to support us and get filling shoeboxes too!
If you are in need of a shoebox please ask any member of the Paeds society or contact us via our email or facebook and we can help you! Any filled boxes can be dropped off at the MTC under the stairs.
The deadline for dropping of is Wednesday 12th November!
